Desert Storm Records is an American record label headed by Skane Dollar, Duro and DJ Clue?, a famous hip hop DJ who is a regular on air personality at New York’s Power 105.1. The label was formerly distributed through Elektra Records and Atlantic Records and is currently distributed through Def Jam.

Strategy

One-nyne was contracted to create a new site for Desert Storm records. The idea was simple. Create a structure that would allow the client to create individual artists’ pages. Features included a bio, Twitter feed, image gallery, custom video player component, iTunes discography, social media links, and a new title video for the company created with combination of Cinema 4D and After Effects. Each module could be added or removed based upon the desired look of each artist’s page.

This site itself, was the first project where we only used Flash Builder as opposed to Flash. It was also the first instance where our team used a simple deployable version of our new CMS for Flash sites, GRID.
